Step 1 – Register your device
- Select your device.
- Fill in the short questionnaire and instantly receive an estimated price.
- Enter your details, choose your shipping method and get a free shipping label.
Step 2 – Prepare for sale
- Back up your files.
- Remove personal accounts and security locks, such as iCloud or Google, so your device is ready for the next user.
- Reset your device to factory settings. Check our knowledge base for step-by-step instructions for your specific device.
- Remove SIM and memory cards and turn off the device.
Step 3 – Packing
Pack your device securely. We recommend using a sturdy box and padding material like crumpled paper or bubble wrap. This keeps your device from moving inside the box and reduces the risk of damage.
Only include accessories if specifically mentioned in the instructions. Any accessories or packaging (like original boxes) you send along will be recycled.
Sending several devices in one box? Don’t forget to include the packing slip.
Step 4 – Send or drop off
- Choose your preferred shipping method.
- Printer-free: You’ll receive a code by email—just show the barcode or QR code at your parcel point.
- With printed label: Print your shipping label and stick it to the box. Make sure everything is clearly visible.
- In-store: Sometimes, you can also drop off your device at a participating store where a staff member can help you.
- Go to your chosen carrier’s drop-off point. Have your label, barcode or QR code scanned and your parcel is sent! Keep your receipt and track your shipment with track & trace.
Step 5 – Received & checked by Trade in
Once received, your device will be tested and inspected by a Trade in specialist and compared with the information you provided in the questionnaire.
- Your device will be professionally checked for functionality and condition.
- If everything matches the info you entered, we’ll confirm the value and process the payment.
- If there’s a difference, we’ll contact you with a new offer. You can then decide whether to accept it or have your device returned.
Once you agree, we’ll transfer your money right away—it’ll usually be in your account quickly! For larger amounts, this can take up to 24 hours.
